Born and raised in New England, formally trained in fine art in New York City, I moved to Portland Oregon in the summer of 2003. I quickly fell in love (with the pacific northwest and with the man who has become my husband) and have been here ever since. These years in Portland have drawn me deeper into my love of fiber and craft. Learning to weave, to needlepoint, and quilt; delving further into my love and understanding of sewing and knitting; these things have all unfurled for me here.
I am a lover of beauty. I am a hater of waste. I am a collector of objects. I am a designer. I am a mother. I am a partner. I am a small business owner. I am a weaver, a quilter, a sculptor, a painter, a designer of clothes, of bags, of the useful and the absurd, a maker
I work with many materials, mostly natural, thread and cloth, felt and leather, paint and computer.
I make blankets, napkins, pillows, clothes, fabric, bags and sculpture. I let my gut and imagination lead me where it will.
beap. design is a place for me to both focus and share the products and results of this journey.
Please feel free to contact me with any comments or questions! I would love to hear from you.
